The Director General of Police, UT Ladakh, Shri Mukesh Singh, IPS, paid his maiden visit to the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC), Devachan Campus, on 6th March 2026.

Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena. During the meeting, Bhikkhu Sanghasena briefed the DGP about the wide range of spiritual, educational, and humanitarian activities being carried out at the 250 acres Devachan Campus for the welfare of society.
Expressing keen interest in learning meditation, Shri Mukesh Singh sought guidance from Bhikkhu Sanghasena on the practice and benefits of meditation. Bhikkhu Sanghasena also shared details about the various Yoga and meditation programs planned for the coming summer, including the International Festival of Yoga and Meditation 2026. On this occasion, he invited the worthy DGP to explore possible collaboration and support from the Police Administration for the upcoming event.

During his visit, the DGP toured the Mahabodhi Sambodhi Yoga and Meditation Retreat Centre, where he appreciated the peaceful environment and the excellent facilities developed for yoga and meditation programs. He also visited the MIMC Buddha Park for World Peace, which left a deep impression on him with its serene atmosphere and inspiring vision of promoting peace and harmony.

His final stop was the Mahabodhi Maitri Geriatric Home, where he spent time interacting with the elderly residents and observed the facilities and care provided to them. Moved by the noble initiative, Shri Mukesh Singh pledged support through a One Day Meal Donation for the residents and immediately enrolled for the same by making the contribution on the spot.

Before concluding his visit, the DGP shared his desire to visit the Mahabodhi Residential School in the coming days to interact with the students. Bhikkhu Sanghasena expressed his appreciation for this thoughtful gesture and conveyed that the school community would warmly welcome the opportunity to meet and learn from him.
The visit concluded with mutual appreciation and a shared commitment to promoting peace, mindfulness, and social welfare in the region.
