Mahabodhi Higher Secondary Residential School held its prestigious Investiture Ceremony with great dignity and enthusiasm, formally appointing the newly elected Student Council for the academic session 2026.
The ceremony was a proud and memorable occasion, reflecting the school’s strong commitment to nurturing responsible, disciplined, and value-based leadership among students. The event was graced by the presence of Bhikkhu Sanghasena, the Chairman of the Management Committee, along with the Principal, Vice Principal, faculty members, and students.

The programme commenced with a vibrant gathering of the school community, who witnessed the formal installation of the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, and council members representing Welfare, Academics, Sports, and Cultural departments.
The highlight of the ceremony was the pinning of badges and presentation of sashes by Bhikkhu Sanghasena, symbolizing the conferral of responsibility, trust, and leadership upon the newly appointed student leaders.
Addressing the gathering, Bhikkhu Sanghasena congratulated the young leaders and delivered an inspiring message on the true essence of leadership. He emphasized that leadership is not about authority, but about setting an example through care, respect, and understanding, rooted in self-discipline, empathy, and service to others.
He further advised the students to uphold integrity, practice discipline, and manage their time wisely. Encouraging them to lead with compassion and loving-kindness, he reminded them that true leadership lies in serving others selflessly and working for the collective well-being of the school community.

Following the address, the newly elected council members took a solemn oath, pledging to discharge their duties with sincerity, humility, and dedication. The ceremony also acknowledged the efforts of the Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, and the School Election Commission in successfully organizing the event.
