The Requirements for Social Welfare initiative at the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) outlines the essential resources and support needed to sustain and expand its wide range of humanitarian projects across Ladakh. Under the visionary guidance of Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, MIMC has been actively engaged in education, healthcare, elderly care, women's empowerment, and environmental preservation. Each of these noble efforts depends greatly on the kindness and generosity of individuals, organizations, and well-wishers who share MIMC's mission of “Compassion in Action.”
The Centre requires both financial and material contributions to continue its various social welfare programs effectively. These include sponsorships for underprivileged students, medical aid for poor patients, provisions for elderly residents at the Old Age Home, and support for visually impaired and differently-abled children. Donations of food, clothing, educational materials, and healthcare equipment are always welcome and directly benefit those most in need.
In addition to material assistance, MIMC also seeks the active involvement of volunteers—teachers, doctors, engineers, and social workers—who can share their skills and compassion through service. By contributing time, expertise, or resources, supporters become vital partners in MIMC's mission to uplift marginalized communities and promote peace through compassionate action.
The Requirements for Social Welfare page serves as an open invitation for everyone to participate in this noble journey of service. Every small act of kindness—whether a donation, a visit, or a helping hand—makes a real difference in the lives of countless people across Ladakh. Together, we can help MIMC continue spreading love, healing, and hope where it is needed most.
