The Mahabodhi Devachan Family hosted a warm and heartfelt Christmas Day fellowship for Christian brothers and sisters at the Devachan Campus of the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre on 26 December 2025. The simple Hi-Tea gathering reflected the spirit of harmony, respect, and shared human values that the Devachan Family has long stood for.

The programme began with the lighting of candles by all participants, symbolising peace, hope, and unity across faiths. In his address, Bhikkhu Sanghasena extended his warm Christmas greetings to the Christian community of Ladakh. He reflected on the compassionate teachings of Lord Jesus Christ, highlighting the common values shared by Christianity and Buddhism, especially love, service, forgiveness, and compassion. Drawing from his decades of experience working closely with leaders of different faith traditions, he spoke about the shared responsibility of religious communities to work together for peace and the welfare of society.

The gathering was enriched by melodious hymns presented by Jigmet Spaldon, adding warmth and colour to the occasion. Rev. Dechen Chamga expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Bhikkhu Sanghasena and the Mahabodhi Devachan Family for their gracious hospitality and for celebrating Christmas in a truly inclusive spirit.

Christian brothers and sisters presented beautiful cathedral songs, which were joyfully joined by the staff members of the Mahabodhi Devachan Family, creating a moment of shared celebration and togetherness.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt prayer offered by the Christian brothers and sisters for the long life, good health, and continued compassionate service of Bhikkhu Sanghasena, reaffirming the deep bonds of mutual respect and friendship between the faith communities of Ladakh.

The celebration stood as a gentle yet powerful reminder that love, compassion, and service transcend religious boundaries, bringing people together in the spirit of harmony and peace.
