The Mahabodhi Inter-Faith Programme is a shining example of the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre's (MIMC) commitment to promoting peace, harmony, and mutual understanding among people of all faiths. Guided by the vision of Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, this initiative seeks to bridge religious divides and foster a spirit of respect, friendship, and cooperation across communities. It is founded on the belief that while religions may differ in form and practice, their essence—compassion, love, and truth—remains the same.

Through seminars, conferences, dialogues, and cultural exchanges, the Inter-Faith Programme brings together spiritual leaders, scholars, and followers of different religions, including Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, and others. These gatherings create meaningful platforms for discussion and shared learning, encouraging participants to focus on unity rather than division. One of the most remarkable milestones of this initiative was the International Buddhist-Muslim Dialogue Conference, which helped strengthen harmony between two of Ladakh's major faith communities.

The programme also involves youth and educational institutions, inspiring the next generation to cultivate tolerance, understanding, and compassion in a multicultural world. By visiting temples, mosques, churches, and gurdwaras together, participants experience the beauty of religious diversity and the shared values that connect all faiths.

The Mahabodhi Inter-Faith Programme reflects MIMC's universal message of “One Humanity, One Heart.” It continues to play a vital role in nurturing peace and goodwill across Ladakh and beyond—reminding the world that the path to true peace lies not in uniformity, but in harmony among diversity.
