Over 500 Ladakhi Youth Visit Mahabodhi Buddha Park For World Peace

More than 500 Ladakhi Buddhist youth visited the Mahabodhi Buddha Park for World Peace, popularly known as the City of 1000 Buddhas, as part of a Youth Pilgrimage and Exposure Trip organized by Shesrab Megjet Tsogspa, led by Shri Jigmet Phuntsok, Chumathang.

During the visit, the students reverentially circumambulated the sacred Buddha statue and performed prostrations, creating a deeply spiritual and uplifting atmosphere at the park.

On this occasion, Bhikkhu Sanghasena addressed the gathering and spoke on the importance of living in accordance with the sacred teachings of Lord Buddha. He highlighted the significance of the Panca Sila (Five Precepts), emphasizing that these simple yet profound principles serve as a foundation for a life of harmony, compassion, and mindful living. He encouraged the youth to integrate these values into their daily lives as a means of personal and collective transformation.

Joining the youth, Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena also took part in the circumambulation and led prayers for world peace. Special prayers were offered for those affected by the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, with a heartfelt aspiration for peace, harmony, and the alleviation of suffering for all beings.

Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of Shesrab Megjet Tsogspa and its leader, Shri Jigmet Phuntsok, for their dedicated work in promoting spiritual awareness among the people of Ladakh, especially the younger generation. He commended their initiative in guiding youth towards meaningful engagement with spiritual practices at a formative stage of life.

The visit concluded with a renewed sense of inspiration among the participants, reaffirming the timeless relevance of the Buddha’s teachings in today’s world.
